Hanwha Group has become the largest shareholder in U.S.-based real-world asset (RWA) project Securitize, holding a combined 15.6895 million shares, or 9.6% of the company. That puts Hanwha ahead of Blockchain Capital, which holds 6%, and Securitize co-founder Carlos Domingo, who holds 5.4%. The stake is split across Hanwha’s private equity fund, Hanwha Systems subsidiary H Foundation, and Hanwha Investment & Securities, which hold 5.9%, 3.1%, and about 0.6%, respectively. Separately, Hanwha Investment & Securities has invested KRW 58 billion this year in projects including blockchain data platform Xangle, Web3 infrastructure company Kresus, and Digital Asset, the operator behind the institutional blockchain network Canton Network. It also made an additional KRW 597.8 billion investment in Dunamu, the parent company of South Korean crypto exchange Upbit, raising its stake there to 9.84%.

Other investments disclosed this year
