HashKey Exchange, the licensed digital asset exchange under HashKey Group, said it is advancing a partnership with asset manager Baillie Gifford to explore how traditional investment products can be combined with blockchain infrastructure. The companies said the work will focus on tokenized products and their use in investor reach, product distribution, and digital asset management, with the aim of offering Hong Kong professional investors a broader set of allocation options. They also plan to examine cooperation in investor education and industry events. Baillie Gifford, founded in 1908 and headquartered in Edinburgh, opened its Hong Kong office in 2015 to serve clients in Asia. HashKey Exchange described the move as part of its effort to deepen ties with international asset managers and extend its "Asia connectivity" strategy. Executives from both sides said the partnership will be pursued within a compliant framework while testing new channels for delivering investment services through digital asset infrastructure.

Focus on tokenized investment products

Per the announcement, the partnership will focus on bringing traditional investment products together with blockchain technology. The two companies plan to examine how tokenized products may be applied to investor reach, product distribution, and digital asset management.

HashKey Exchange said tokenization may let investment products from traditional asset managers reach target investors through digital asset infrastructure in a more efficient, more digital format. And this is not only about products. The firms also plan to explore work together on education programs and industry events.
