Hedera's native token HBAR has rallied over 40% from this month's low of $0.0735 to hit $0.1038, riding a broader crypto market rebound and a fresh partnership with global logistics giant FedEx. Still, the token remains far below its 2025 peak of $0.3045.
FedEx Joins Governance Council, Targets Smarter Supply Chains
FedEx became the latest major firm to join the Hedera Governing Council, after Tata Communications, LG, Mondelez, Google, Hitachi, and Deutsche Telekom. The delivery giant aims to leverage Hedera's distributed ledger to build a "trusted digital infrastructure" that supports global shipment lifecycles and makes supply chains smarter. Vishal Talwar, CEO of Hedera, stated: "As supply chains become increasingly digital-native, trusted data must be shared and verified across many parties without increasing risk or centralizing control."
ETF Inflows Ground to a Halt, Ecosystem Metrics Stagnate
Despite the headline, risks remain prominent. The Canary HBAR ETF has recorded zero net inflows since February 9, 2026, with total year-to-date additions of only $6 million and cumulative inflows at $90 million — a sign of vanishing institutional demand.
On-chain activity also paints a bleak picture. The total value locked (TVL) across Hedera's DeFi ecosystem stands at just $39 million, while stablecoin market capitalization has shrunk to $68 million — negligible figures in a multi-billion-dollar industry. Without meaningful ecosystem growth, sustainable price support is lacking.
Technical Resistance at $0.1037 Could Trigger Another Downleg
On the daily chart, HBAR has retested the key resistance at $0.1037, which marked the lowest levels in October and December last year. The token also faces headwinds from the 50-day moving average. Analysts see a classic break-and-retest pattern forming: if the price fails to break higher, a resumption of the downtrend may follow, potentially dragging HBAR back to its year-to-date low of $0.073. Short-term bulls should be cautious of overhead supply.
The FedEx deal provides a narrative boost, but the combination of institutional demand drought, weak fundamentals, and technical resistance leaves the token's recovery path highly fragile.
