Hex Trust and Doppler Finance have announced a partnership to launch institutional cross-chain wXRP vaults, combining regulated custody with yield infrastructure to broaden XRP’s use beyond its native network. The collaboration was announced on March 4, 2026, and is aimed at firms seeking compliant ways to deploy XRP in multi-chain strategies.

Regulated custody meets XRP-focused yield infrastructure

Founded in 2018, Hex Trust is known for digital asset custody and staking services built for institutional clients across multiple jurisdictions. Doppler Finance develops institutional yield infrastructure on the XRP Ledger and has been working to integrate yield products with major wallets and exchanges. Their joint wXRP vaults are being designed around strict regulatory standards, with the goal of turning XRP from a natively held asset into one that can move more effectively across blockchains.

Rox, Head of Institutions at Doppler Finance, described the project as an effort to expand XRP liquidity across different chains by combining Doppler’s rewards-oriented infrastructure with Hex Trust’s regulated custody model. Giorgia Pellizzari, Chief Product Officer and Head of Custody at Hex Trust, said many firms have been looking for institutional-grade, compliant access that allows XRP to be used as a core multi-chain asset rather than only as a speculative holding.

Both firms are pushing XRP toward active multi-chain use

In a statement posted from Hex Trust’s official X account, the company stressed what it called a shift in market discussion during 2026. The focus, it said, is moving away from simply storing digital assets and toward regulated, yield-generating products built for institutions. Pellizzari also said that advancing professional use of XRP requires bridging it into the multi-chain economy through interoperable and secure rails that can support core institutional functions.

Doppler Finance said its current stack includes audited reserves and carefully vetted yield strategies. By adding Hex Trust’s custody infrastructure, the companies plan to keep the wXRP vaults aligned with high standards for compliance and transparency, while presenting them as a practical gateway for institutional adoption across chains.

Cross-chain access targets XRP liquidity fragmentation

The report points to a familiar limitation: XRP liquidity has often remained siloed inside the XRP Ledger or isolated in single-chain products. The proposed solution centers on cross-chain wXRP vaults equipped with regulated custody, transparent risk management, and integrated reward mechanisms. The stated aim is to reduce asset idleness and make XRP more usable within the broader cross-chain DeFi market.

Doppler Finance identifies itself as a participant in “XRPfi,” focusing on native yield opportunities in the XRP ecosystem while trying to connect with global liquidity pools. Through partnerships of this kind, the company says it wants to institutionalize XRP usage and support more diversified integration with the wider blockchain economy. The message from both firms is direct: for large financial players, scalable, interoperable, and compliant infrastructure is becoming central to how digital assets are put to work.
