The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has added 'King Kong Fund / King Kong Coin Issuance Co., Ltd.' to its alert list of unlicensed companies. The entity claimed to have a Hong Kong address and phone number, and was suspected of conducting unlicensed activities targeting Hong Kong investors without SFC authorization. The SFC stated that the entity is not allowed to carry out regulated activities in Hong Kong or actively market its services to the Hong Kong public.

The entity had claimed to have a Hong Kong address and provided a Hong Kong phone number. It was suspected of engaging in unlicensed activities and targeting Hong Kong investors for solicitation, without being licensed or registered under the Securities and Futures Ordinance to conduct regulated activities in Hong Kong. The SFC noted that the entity must not carry out any regulated activities in Hong Kong, nor actively promote its services to the Hong Kong public, whether inside or outside the territory.
