Hyundai’s U.S. and Mexico units have completed a cross-border treasury transfer pilot using $20,000 in USDT on the Avalanche blockchain, according to Techub News, citing crypto.news. The transfer took about seven minutes from start to finish, compared with the three to four hours typically required for a traditional bank transfer.
Axiym provided the settlement infrastructure for the test, while Hyundai Card designed the remittance structure and handled compliance requirements. The pilot was set up to test whether stablecoin-based settlement can be folded into corporate payment operations without changing an existing financial governance framework.
The companies said the next phase will broaden the setup to additional payment channels and local-currency settlement. The test centers on internal financial payments between Hyundai entities in the United States and Mexico rather than a consumer-facing use case.
