Iran's Ministry of Economy has set up an 'Economic War Command' to centrally assess and respond to economic challenges stemming from the war, according to a report by Xinhua News Agency on Monday.
Deputy Economy Minister Mortaza Zamanian said the command is housed within the ministry and will initially handle matters under its authority, including the war's effects on business operations, trade, and financing. For issues beyond the ministry's scope, it will coordinate with other government bodies.
Zamanian added that the primary mission of the command is to identify war-related economic problems and operational bottlenecks, propose actionable solutions, and strengthen interdepartmental coordination when multiple agencies are involved.
