Odaily reported, citing CCTV News, that on the 19th local time, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said in an interview that the United States must ensure Israel complies with the terms of the memorandum of understanding reached between the U.S. and Iran. Khatibzadeh said Iran is prepared to continue advancing the diplomatic process, stating: “If the other side shows the same seriousness, we are also ready to move forward step by step.”

Navigation Arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz

On the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, Khatibzadeh said Iran will continue to provide navigation services in coordination with Oman and under the rules of international law. According to his remarks, Iran will not charge transit fees during the 60-day period stipulated in the memorandum of understanding.

Khatibzadeh added that after the 60-day period ends, Iran will introduce a new waterway management mechanism and submit it to regional countries. He also said that any future agreement must include the unfreezing of all frozen Iranian funds.
