Liquid Capital founder JackYi said his earlier calls that July and August marked the final window to buy the dip were based on a cycle view rather than a precise price target. In a post on Sept. 21, he said the third leg down since Oct. 11 should be the last decline in the current move, while adding that no one can know exactly how far prices may fall. He said market moves can still be distorted by black swan events, citing the FTX collapse as an example that once pushed BTC into an oversold drop. Even so, he argued that cycle timing and volatility patterns remain the more reliable guide, and that investors should buy when the time window arrives instead of waiting for the absolute bottom. JackYi also addressed why some of his wording had been vague, saying no one can be 100% accurate and that mistakes tend to be remembered more than repeated correct calls.

BlockBeats reported on Sept. 21 that Liquid Capital founder JackYi commented on how he views dip-buying timing.

JackYi said he had repeatedly argued that July and August were the final window to buy the dip. The core of that view, he wrote, was that the third downward leg since Oct. 11 would be the last drop.

He added that no one can determine exactly where the market will fall, and that prices can still be affected by black swan events. As an example, he pointed to the FTX incident, which he said once drove BTC into an oversold decline.

Still, JackYi said cycle timing and volatility patterns do not go wrong, and that investors should step in when the time window arrives rather than expect to buy at the lowest possible price.

Addressing why some of his past wording had been relatively vague, he said no one can be 100% accurate. He wrote: "Even if you are right 10 times, no one remembers it. If you are wrong once, it stays on-chain forever. Even the most absurd rumors can stir more excitement than facts."
