JPMorgan’s second-quarter 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission shows a notable reshuffle in the bank’s crypto-linked positions, according to Coinpedia. On the Bitcoin side, the firm reported holding about 10.4 million shares of BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), valued at roughly $355.7 million as of June 30, up from about 8.3 million shares worth nearly $162 million in the first quarter. Its IBIT call options rose to around 3.94 million contracts, while put options fell from about 4.75 million to roughly 3.5 million. For Ethereum, JPMorgan held nearly 1.17 million shares of BlackRock’s ETHA worth about $14.3 million, a 338% increase from the prior quarter, though the value of its Bitcoin exposure remained more than 20 times larger. The filing also showed the bank rebuilt XRP-related exposure after reducing that position to zero in the first quarter, took small stakes in the Bitwise XRP ETF and Grayscale XRP Trust ETF, held about 19,900 shares of Armada Acquisition Corp II worth around $207,000 in a Ripple-backed transaction, and opened a new position of about 47,500 shares in the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF.

JPMorgan’s second-quarter 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission shows a clear shift in the bank’s crypto-linked ETF exposure, according to Coinpedia.

Bitcoin holdings moved higher

The filing shows JPMorgan held a combined 10.4 million shares of BlackRock’s IBIT, valued at about $355.7 million as of June 30. That was up from roughly 8.3 million shares worth nearly $162 million in the first quarter.

On the options side, the bank increased its IBIT call position to around 3.94 million contracts. Its put position fell from about 4.75 million to roughly 3.5 million contracts.

Ethereum allocation also expanded

For Ethereum, JPMorgan reported holding nearly 1.17 million shares of BlackRock’s ETHA, valued at about $14.3 million. The filing said that position was up 338% from the previous quarter.

Even with that increase, the value of the bank’s Bitcoin position remained more than 20 times larger than its ETHA exposure.

XRP and Solana positions reappeared

In XRP-related products, JPMorgan rebuilt exposure after reducing that position to zero in the first quarter. The filing shows small holdings in the Bitwise XRP ETF and the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF.

It also held about 19,900 shares of Armada Acquisition Corp II, valued at around $207,000, in a Ripple-backed transaction.

Separately, the filing shows JPMorgan opened a new position in the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF, holding about 47,500 shares.

Next filing expected in November

The report also mentioned that spot Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. have recently recorded net outflows. The next 13F filing, covering the third quarter, is expected to be disclosed in November.
