Crypto market data provider Kaiko has secured a new investment led by S&P Global, bringing the total size of its latest funding round to $110 million, according to Bloomberg. Other participants in the round include DRW Holdings, Susquehanna, Royal Bank of Canada, Nasdaq, BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, Broadridge, Canton Ventures, Coinbase Ventures and Stellar. The funding comes as Wall Street accelerates efforts around asset tokenization and as always-on markets increase demand for 24/7 pricing, valuation and risk-management data infrastructure. Kaiko said it plans to use the proceeds to build new products and services. The company previously raised $53 million in a Series B round in June 2022, led by Eight Roads, with Revaia and existing investors Alven, Point Nine, Anthemis and Underscore also participating.

Why the round comes now
The financing comes as Wall Street speeds up asset tokenization efforts. At the same time, the rise of always-on markets is driving demand for data infrastructure covering 24/7 pricing, valuation and risk management. Kaiko said it will use the funding to develop new products and services.
Previous financing
Kaiko previously closed a $53 million Series B round in June 2022. That round was led by Eight Roads, a venture capital firm backed by Fidelity, with French venture firm Revaia and existing investors Alven, Point Nine, Anthemis and Underscore also taking part.
