According to an official announcement, Kaito AI has announced an upgrade to its Kaito staking system, saying that in 2025 staking one KAITO token returned $1.64 in rewards. That translates to an annualized yield of approximately 136%. The new reward framework will change how airdrop allocations are handled. First, an opt-in eligibility process will be introduced before any allocation is confirmed. The team expects distribution amounts to roughly double under this arrangement. Second, fees for token activities that occur before a token generation event (TGE) will be waived. The goal is to attract more projects to run airdrops, and the team estimates that participation could double. Third, stakers must remain staked for the full activity cycle to qualify for airdrop rewards, with longer-term stakers receiving more. The protocol also reaffirmed that the minimum staking requirement for most airdrops remains 5,000 sKAITO. Yapybara NFT holders will keep a 10% allocation multiplier, and smaller stakers can still access YT-sKAITO through Pendle pools.

Kaito AI has announced an upgrade to its Kaito staking system, with changes targeting how staking rewards and airdrop allocations are distributed. According to official figures, staking one KAITO token in 2025 returned $1.64, translating to an annualized yield of around 136%.

Three Core Changes

The new reward framework introduces three adjustments. First, an opt-in eligibility mechanism will be added before allocations are confirmed, which Kaito AI expects to roughly double distribution sizes. Second, fees will be waived for pre-TGE token activities, a move designed to draw more projects into airdrops; the team anticipates project participation will double. Third, stakers must keep their positions throughout the full activity cycle to receive airdrop rewards, with longer-term stakers getting higher payouts.

Minimums and Multipliers

Kaito AI also clarified that the minimum staking requirement for most airdrops remains 5,000 sKAITO. Yapybara NFT holders keep a 10% allocation multiplier. Small stakers can still gain exposure via YT-sKAITO positions in Pendle pools.
