Kamino said it has adopted Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, as its risk assessment standard for cross-chain collateral after what it described as an extensive security review. Under the arrangement, assets secured by CCIP will be eligible for higher borrowing caps and higher loan-to-value ratios across Kamino markets. The company said the move comes as it expands support for institutional-grade tokenized collateral, making cross-chain security a core part of market design. Chainlink also confirmed the setup. The update ties collateral treatment on Kamino more directly to the security framework used for cross-chain assets and sets the terms under which those assets can receive more favorable lending parameters on the platform.
