Moonshot AI’s Kimi has introduced a game development and creative workflow solution that extends AI agents beyond coding assistance into broader game production. According to ChainCatcher, the offering spans the full pipeline from gameplay design and 3D modeling to engineering, publishing and long-term operations.
The solution is built on K3.1 Pro, Kimi Code and Kimi Work, and can operate professional tools including Unity, Unreal Engine and Blender through plugins. Kimi can also modify existing projects, run games on its own, review test recordings and continue iterating after identifying issues.
In an official demo, after a planner supplied reference images, videos and gameplay requirements, Kimi used Godot to build a 2.5D action game prototype featuring mechanics such as sword attacks, dodging and blocking. The company said even users without programming experience may be able to produce a playable version within one to two days. In another demo conducted with Unity China, Kimi reportedly worked for 20 straight hours without human intervention, recreated the original work and delivered a native project that could be developed further. Moonshot AI said the workflow is also being used for publishing and live operations, including ad asset production, player feedback analysis, community handling, localization and API-based AI dialogue for in-game NPCs.
