Kuaishou has reorganized its AI structure and set up a cross-business virtual unit called "Enterprise AI Productivity" to handle the company’s internal AI office and R&D tools.
According to the company’s disclosure, the new unit will unify the general-purpose agents used by employees, the company’s internal knowledge and data, and its office and information systems. That setup is meant to let agents directly call on those resources to complete work. The group will be led by Wang Xu, head of Kuaishou’s intelligent office platform department, and will be made up of the intelligent office platform department and the AI productivity center.
Internal AI adoption figures disclosed
Kuaishou said it had already deployed AI at scale internally. As of June this year, more than 92% of employees were using self-developed AI agents. Among R&D technical staff, AI-generated code accounted for 60% of code contribution.
Kling AI management responsibilities reassigned
Kuaishou also changed the management split for Kling AI. Kuaishou co-founder, chairman, and CEO Cheng Yixiao will concurrently serve as head of the community science line. Yue Yu, the previous head, has been reassigned as director and CEO of Kling AI, where he will focus on the company’s operations and management.
Yue Yu, also known as Gai Kun, holds a PhD from Tsinghua University. He joined Alibaba in 2011 as part of the first group of "Ali Stars" and, before leaving, served as technical director of precision display advertising at Alimama with a P10 rank. After joining Kuaishou in 2020, he spent years overseeing algorithms and the community science line, and led Kling AI’s R&D and commercialization.
Kuaishou also said Kling AI posted revenue of more than RMB 850 million in the second quarter of this year, up more than 200% from a year earlier.
