The club's founder, Nick Blomgren, revealed in a local news interview that the initiative serves two purposes: it attracts affluent Bitcoin investors and provides privacy for customers who prefer not to leave a credit card trail (e.g., avoiding detection by spouses). The venue also features a Bitcoin ATM where patrons can purchase cryptocurrency on-site before tipping dancers.
Dancer Summer Chase explained that traditional banks often discriminate against adult industry workers. “I'm not going to name names, but there are certain banks that will shut down your account and actually deny you from having an account because we work in the adult entertainment industry,” she said. Bitcoin payments bypass those restrictions entirely.
Another dancer, Brenna Sparks (26), has been into crypto since age 19. She noted that customers frequently ask to pay with Bitcoin. “Oh, quite often. Like the people that come here, they are really into crypto,” she said. “It's peer to peer, it's anonymous, and it's instant.” She enjoys checking her balance daily and believes cryptocurrency is the future for adult entertainers. Bitpay previously banned merchants of explicit content from using its services, but peer-to-peer Bitcoin transactions cannot be censored. Sparks emphasized the privacy benefits: “Customers don't have to worry about bank records, and we don't have to explain large cash deposits to banks.”
