LBank has announced a partnership with blockchain analytics company Elliptic as the exchange moves to strengthen its compliance framework and bolster platform security. The collaboration is designed to improve transaction transparency, risk controls, and asset protection as LBank continues expanding its global business.

According to the announcement, LBank serves more than 15 million users. As crypto adoption grows across markets, exchanges are facing rising regulatory expectations. In response, LBank plans to integrate Elliptic’s Know Your Transaction (KYT) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solutions to build a more secure and transparent trading environment.

Real-time monitoring and risk detection

Through the partnership, LBank will use Elliptic’s compliance toolkit to automatically screen transactions and wallets, trace fund flows, and identify potentially high-risk activity with real-time data insights. The integration is intended to give the exchange a more structured approach to suspicious activity detection, fund movement analysis, and broader risk management.

Eric He, risk control adviser at LBank, said the partnership represents an important step in the exchange’s global compliance efforts. He added that LBank aims to support the broader development of the crypto compliance ecosystem through higher transparency and proactive self-regulation.

Broader regulatory push across jurisdictions

LBank also highlighted recent regulatory progress across multiple markets, including VASP registration in Italy and DCEP certification in Australia. The exchange said that in Q3 2024, it obtained the Alabama Money Transmitter License, along with several other state-level approvals, allowing it to operate as a licensed exchange in the United States.

Founded in 2015, LBank says it operates in more than 210 countries and regions, supports over 800 cryptocurrencies, and records daily derivatives trading volume of more than $67 billion. The company framed the Elliptic partnership as part of a wider effort to provide a safer and more transparent trading environment while reinforcing the compliance foundations behind its international growth.

Elliptic, founded in 2013 and headquartered in London, provides blockchain analytics and risk intelligence to financial institutions, crypto firms, and government agencies, with offices in New York, Washington D.C., the UAE, Singapore, and Tokyo.
