Crypto exchange LBank hosted an offline football viewing event in Taipei in the early hours of July 16, gathering VIP users for what it called the "LBank Cheers for Goal" semifinal watch party. The invite-only event was held at Old Brick Sports Bar in Da’an District, where attendees watched the World Cup clash between Argentina and England.

LBank said it wanted to use the in-person gathering to turn online community relationships into more direct and tangible connections, while giving users a way to experience the brand through a major sports event.
Score predictions set the tone before kickoff
To increase participation on site, the organizer prepared score prediction cards and invited guests to write down their forecasts before the match began. The activity prompted discussion among attendees and served as an easy way to start conversations.

ABMedia said the match itself brought several swings in mood inside the venue. A tense first half shaped by defensive play kept the room on edge. A key goal that changed the direction of the game then sparked loud cheers, and a stoppage-time winner that completed the comeback pushed the atmosphere to its peak.
Official merchandise featured in the lucky draw
As a regional sponsor of the Argentina national team, LBank used the event’s giveaway segment to distribute several officially licensed football items. The list included an AFA teddy bear football gift box, an Adidas World Cup Messi jersey, an Adidas World Cup Argentina cap, an Adidas World Cup TRIONDA mini football, and an AFA co-branded luggage tag.
Winners stood up to celebrate, while other guests responded with applause and congratulations. In the report, the prizes were presented not only as gifts but also as shared markers of the night’s atmosphere.

An offline event built around community contact
The report described the gathering as a small-scale event with a strong on-site response. Match sequences, shots on goal and score changes kept drawing reactions from the room, while the prediction game carried over into table talk and casual conversation.
Users who had previously interacted only occasionally in online communities were able to meet in person at the venue. Through football, LBank combined the tension of the match with the immediacy of an offline meetup.
Taiwan remains part of LBank’s local event strategy
ABMedia said the semifinal watch party was another example of LBank continuing to invest in the Taiwan market. The report also pointed to several earlier Taipei events hosted by the exchange, including a private screening of Avatar: Fire and Ash for VIP guests, a Taipei year-end celebration at the start of 2026 themed around Argentina blue, and a tipsy dinner event held on May 20.
From private screenings and year-end gatherings to dinners and late-night match viewing, LBank has used multiple event formats in Taipei as part of its local outreach.
ABMedia said the company has been using offline activities to strengthen its connection with users in Taiwan.
