Lido said in a governance forum announcement that it has completed the shutdown process for the regular cluster of its Simple DVT module. The protocol also said the first batch of transition grants, totaling 0.175 stETH, has been distributed to eligible node operators. The shutdown follows a related proposal approved by the DAO earlier this year. According to the announcement, the measure received support from about 57.4 million LDO and drew no opposing votes. Lido said the move should not be read as a retreat from distributed validator technology. Instead, it described the change as part of a broader shift in staking architecture, moving away from an early implementation approach and toward more mature validator modules as the protocol evolves.

According to an announcement on the Lido governance forum, the protocol has completed the shutdown process for the regular cluster of its Simple DVT module.

Lido said the first batch of transition grants, totaling 0.175 stETH, has been distributed to eligible node operators.

The shutdown stems from a related proposal approved in a DAO vote earlier this year. The proposal received support from about 57.4 million LDO and recorded no opposing votes.

Lido said the move does not mean it is abandoning distributed validator technology. Instead, as its staking architecture evolves, the protocol is shifting from an early implementation approach to more mature validator modules.
