Long.xyz founder Nate said in a post on X that the platform was not designed around any single meme, AI theme, or market trend. Instead, he said the goal is to keep iterating and reduce, as much as possible, the risk that one factor alone could cause an asset to fail.
Nate said one of the main problems in the crypto market today is the lack of trust and the lack of an expectation for long-term holding. Many assets can fall to zero in a short period, he said, even though a sizable group of users actually wants assets they can hold over time. In his view, the market lacks platforms that can keep supplying that type of asset on an ongoing basis.
Balancing liquidity, upside, team support and community participation
Nate said Long.xyz puts more weight on balancing different elements. Assets should have relatively deep liquidity, while still leaving room for high-multiple returns. They should also carry meme characteristics, he said, but should not be purely meme assets.
He added that development teams can help drive projects forward, but should not be the only thing holding them up. Communities also need to take part.
Plans include links to RWA, U.S. stock catalysts and AI
Nate said Long.xyz also plans to combine assets with directions such as RWA, U.S. stock catalysts, and AI. The idea, he said, is to reduce the hit to the ecosystem when major crypto assets see sharp declines, while not becoming completely disconnected from broader crypto market cycles.
Reducing pure short-term PVP inside the ecosystem
On ecosystem design, Nate said Long.xyz wants to reduce purely short-term PVP between assets, while still keeping competition between different assets and approaches.
He said the broader approach at Long.xyz is to first make sure assets can survive, then move quickly and keep iterating, while finding a balance between day-to-day tactical adjustments and long-term goals.
