Conclusion: The Exchange Payment Race Enters a New Phase
The battleground for exchanges has shifted from spot trading and derivatives to payments. From credit and debit cards to integrated payment apps, major platforms are building a 'trade-to-live' consumer loop. While partnerships with legacy networks like Visa, Mastercard, and Amex remain the primary route, a few, like Kraken and Bitget, are also building their own wallet and stablecoin ecosystems. As these card products roll out globally, the competition in crypto payments is set to intensify throughout the latter half of 2025.
