Match2Pay has expanded its crypto payments infrastructure with direct support for more than 500 cryptocurrency wallets, a move the company says is designed to simplify checkout and broaden merchant access to crypto users worldwide. The update allows the payment page to communicate directly with a customer’s wallet, with the goal of making transactions faster and easier without increasing integration complexity for merchants.
The announcement targets one of the oldest usability issues in crypto commerce: checkout friction. In many traditional crypto payment flows, users must manually copy wallet addresses, verify blockchain networks, switch between apps, and make sure payment amounts are correct before sending funds. Match2Pay says its new implementation reduces those steps by letting users connect a wallet directly on the payment page and approve the transaction in a more streamlined flow.
Wallet-native checkout aims to cut abandonment
According to the company, the upgrade uses a new connectivity standard that strengthens direct communication between its payment page and user wallets. This removes the need for manual address entry and is intended to reduce common points of failure in crypto payments. Match2Pay said the system now supports hundreds of wallets, including widely used options such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and Phantom Wallet.
That matters because payment abandonment in crypto often happens when the process feels unfamiliar or risky. If a user has to paste a long wallet address or manually confirm the correct network, hesitation increases. By shifting confirmation into a wallet environment the customer already knows, Match2Pay is trying to make the experience feel more trusted and more intuitive at the moment of payment.
Merchant benefits go beyond convenience
For merchants, the company frames the update as an operational improvement as much as a UX enhancement. Crypto checkouts have historically been vulnerable to avoidable mistakes such as incorrect addresses, overpayments, underpayments, and network mismatches. These errors can generate customer disputes, failed settlements, and costly support tickets. Match2Pay argues that a “connect-and-confirm” flow can reduce these problems while making checkout faster and more conversion-friendly.
The use case may be especially relevant in sectors where crypto payments are frequent and intentional, including online trading, digital services, and international commerce. In those environments, users often prefer paying directly from self-custodied wallets rather than relying on fiat card rails or exchange-based intermediaries.
Broader wallet coverage supports scale
Match2Pay also positions the launch as a scaling tool for merchants seeking broader crypto coverage across multiple chains without building fragmented technical stacks. Supporting 500+ wallets means fewer customers are lost because of compatibility limitations, and merchants may be less dependent on integrating multiple separate payment providers to serve different wallet ecosystems.
Andrey Kalashnikov, Head of Match2Pay, said the implementation strengthens the platform’s role at the intersection of accessibility and functionality. He said the benefits are practical for all parties using the solution, making crypto payments simpler and more flexible for end users while giving merchants tools to scale globally without fragmenting their infrastructure. The company added that it will present the solution at iFX EXPO Dubai as part of discussions around the update and its broader roadmap.
Overall, the release highlights a broader shift in the crypto payments market: the conversation is moving from simply accepting crypto to optimizing checkout performance. As wallet-native experiences become a baseline expectation, providers that reduce friction at the point of payment may gain an edge with merchants targeting crypto-first customers.
