MegaETH's governance token MEGA started trading on 13 centralized exchanges and its own DEX on April 30, with only 11.3% circulating supply and over $78 million in 24-hour volume.

MegaETH launched its native governance token MEGA on April 30 at 10:00 UTC, opening simultaneously on 13 centralized exchanges and its own mainnet DEX. Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Kraken, Bybit, KuCoin, Upbit, HTX, MEXC, Bitget, Crypto.com, WEEX, and Gate listed spot pairs, primarily MEGA/USDT and MEGA/USDC.

Token Performance: $200M Market Cap, Low Initial Float

MEGA opened near $0.183, with a fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $1.82 billion. By 8:00 AM ET on April 30, the token traded at $0.1695, giving it a market cap of approximately $199 million. 24-hour trading volume ranged between $78 million and $81 million, indicating robust liquidity. From its all-time high of $0.2249, MEGA had declined about 21%.

The fixed maximum supply is 10 billion tokens, with only 1.13 billion (11.3%) circulating at launch. Allocation breaks down as: 53% for ecosystem incentives and KPI-based staking rewards, 9.5% to the team, and 5% to the public sale. Unlock events are scheduled at the 6-month and 12-month marks, which traders are monitoring as potential sell pressure catalysts.

Technical Edge: Real-Time Ethereum L2 Backed by Vitalik

MegaETH calls itself the first real-time Ethereum Layer 2, targeting over 100,000 transactions per second with sub-10-millisecond block times. Its heterogeneous node design and SALT (Small Authentication Large Trie) state architecture keep data in RAM, eliminating disk read-write bottlenecks. Stateless validation allows nodes to verify without storing full state. The project is backed by Ethereum co-founders Vitalik Buterin, Joe Lubin, and Dragonfly Capital, with over $100 million raised across funding rounds (the Sonar public sale was oversubscribed). The mainnet is live with an explorer, bridge, and the Rabbithole curated app layer. Integrations include Ethena's USDm stablecoin and Chainlink Scale for DeFi data. The Mega Mafia builder collective supports early-stage projects.

Exchange Incentives and Liquidity

Bybit offered a $100,000 trading prize pool; WEEX ran an airdrop. Upbit listed MEGA against the Korean won, Bitcoin, and USDT, targeting Korean retail traders. MEGA became the ninth-largest pair by volume on Upbit.
