MegaETH has locked in April 30, 2026 for the MEGA token generation event after clearing its first launch KPI. The team said 10 applications are now live and showing real user activity, a milestone it announced on X before the update spread across crypto media. What had been a closely watched target now has a fixed date.
A seven-day countdown begins once one KPI is met
According to the project’s token FAQ, any one of three KPIs can trigger the launch process. Once that happens, a seven-day countdown starts before the TGE. MegaETH said the first KPI has been satisfied through 10 MegaMafia apps going live and reaching baseline activity. The Road to TGE page and the project’s X post both point to April 30.
The structure is different from a standard time-based unlock. MegaETH tied token release mechanics to visible network usage rather than a calendar-only schedule. The FAQ also outlines a tougher second KPI: 10 fully deployed apps, more than 100,000 transactions, and over 25,000 unique wallets. The project also says 26 projects are currently part of its MegaMafia builder group.
Tokenomics are built around measurable usage
MegaETH describes itself as a real-time Ethereum network targeting 100,000+ transactions per second and sub-10 millisecond block times. That framing helps explain why the token model leans on adoption milestones instead of relying only on dates.
Published coverage puts MEGA’s total supply at 10 billion tokens. The reported allocation includes 53.3% for KPI staking rewards, 14.7% for institutional investors, 9.5% for the team and advisors, 7.5% for foundation reserves, and 5% for a public auction. Earlier materials also referenced a public sale on Sonar, with the stated goal of broadening ownership beyond insiders.
Traders have a date, but not a listing venue or launch valuation
The Road to TGE page now shows the date and KPI status, but it still does not name exchange venues or provide a launch valuation. That leaves MEGA price discovery and listing details unresolved.
MegaETH is also still operating its testnet page, including a faucet and onboarding tools for users and builders. Even so, the signal that moved attention this week came from the KPI dashboard, not the testnet portal. The market response was sharp: the April 30 prediction market moved to 97.8% YES from 19% a day earlier, and the same report said more than $17,000 in USDC changed hands in that contract on the day of the update. That does not establish a premarket valuation for MEGA, but it does show concentrated event-driven attention around the TGE.
What remains in focus is straightforward: launch-day execution, exchange listings, and whether app activity holds after the token goes live. For now, MegaETH has put forward a date, a KPI-based release framework, and a supply plan tied to usage.
