Mempool.space, the open-source Bitcoin explorer and onchain parser, has introduced a new Bitcoin transaction accelerator in partnership with several major mining pools. Announced this week, the service is now available in beta and is designed for users willing to pay extra to improve the odds of faster confirmation by miners.
Beta service lets users pay with Lightning or fiat
According to the team, users can click the “Accelerate” option directly from a transaction page and submit a request without creating an account. Payments can be made through the Lightning Network or fiat. Once submitted, the request is sent to a group of partner mining pools, which can prioritize the transaction based on the payment attached to the acceleration bid.
Initial partners include several large mining pools
The first pool partners listed for the Mempool Accelerator are Foundry, Mara, SBI Crypto, Spiderpool, and Ocean Mining. Mempool.space said these pools account for a meaningful share of the network’s hashrate, giving the product practical relevance for users seeking faster inclusion in a block. The service is aimed at people who want greater control over confirmation speed, especially when timing matters.
Fees remain low, while transparency features are expanded
The report notes that average BTC transaction fees have stayed below $1 in recent days, or roughly 7.7 sat/vB. Since late June, average fees have generally remained below the $3 to $4 range, following another fee spike on June 7. In that context, the accelerator appears less like a response to broad fee pressure and more like a convenience tool for users who value faster settlement.
Mempool.space also said it has added a dashboard on its web portal to display accelerated transactions for transparency. In addition, its block audit feature has been updated to include acceleration bid boosts, shown as purple figures in the interface. The team said the change aligns with its broader mission of improving visibility into how transactions are prioritized onchain.
The company is not the first to offer such a service. Other mining pools, including ViaBTC, have long provided similar transaction acceleration tools, and some even offer limited free daily prioritization. Still, Mempool.space’s entry into the segment could expand access by bringing the feature directly into a widely used Bitcoin explorer and analytics platform.
