Business banking platform Meow has integrated with BVNK to bring stablecoin and cryptocurrency payment capabilities directly into its core banking services. The move allows Meow's clients to transact across both fiat and digital asset rails without relying on external intermediaries.

BVNK provides the underlying payment and liquidity engine, supporting assets including Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), and USDC. After integration, businesses can connect these digital assets with the traditional SWIFT network, handling conversion and settlement across systems within a single interface.

Multi-Rail Model Targets Payment Fragmentation

Business payment workflows often require separate providers for fiat transfers, crypto transactions, and liquidity management. For companies operating across jurisdictions, this fragmentation adds significant operational costs.

Meow's partnership with BVNK creates a unified system where movement between fiat, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies happens within the platform — no need to stitch together external nodes. Meow CEO Brandon Arvanaghi stated: “Businesses should not have to stitch together fragmented providers to collect funds, move money globally, and access modern payment rails.”

The system also connects to the SWIFT network, letting firms interact with legacy banking infrastructure while using digital assets for settlement and liquidity. This combination defines the multi-rail payment model: transactions are routed across systems based on efficiency and cost.

Stablecoins and Crypto Expand Treasury Options

Traditional corporate treasury management relies mainly on fiat balances, limiting asset allocation flexibility. With the integration, businesses can hold and transfer stablecoins like USDC and USDT, or use Bitcoin for more versatile value storage.

Stablecoins help reduce settlement times and speed up cross-border payments; cryptocurrencies add flexibility for specific scenarios. By embedding these assets directly in the banking platform, companies avoid managing separate wallets or infrastructure while accessing digital asset liquidity.

The platform also supports on- and off-ramp channels, allowing funds to move between digital assets and fiat based on operational needs. This reduces delays common in traditional cross-border transfers and improves capital allocation efficiency.

Infrastructure Providers Compete on Coverage

The deal highlights a broader shift: financial platforms now compete by expanding infrastructure coverage rather than offering isolated services. BVNK supplies underlying payment and liquidity capabilities; Meow integrates them into its banking product.

BVNK Co-founder and Chief Business Officer Chris Harmse said: “The next generation of financial services will be defined by platforms that can seamlessly connect fiat, stablecoins, crypto, and global payment rails. Integration capability will decide who wins enterprise clients.”

For businesses, the model reduces the burden of managing multiple vendors and simplifies compliance and onboarding. However, it also concentrates operational dependency on a smaller number of integrated platforms, raising the bar for execution quality, pricing transparency, and compliance standards.

For infrastructure providers, partnerships with banking platforms extend reach into enterprise-grade use cases, where transaction volumes and client needs differ sharply from retail trading environments.

Multi-Entity Multinational Firms as Target Clients

Meow positions itself as a business banking platform for multi-entity, multinational teams, already offering invoicing, bill payments, and corporate cards. The BVNK integration pushes these services into crypto and stablecoin flows.

Meow currently serves clients in over 200 countries, with cross-border payments as a core demand. Multi-chain, multi-asset support directly serves that need — clients operate across different systems without switching platforms. The partners also plan to explore merchant-side crypto acceptance, extending capabilities to goods and services transaction processing.

This development signals that business banking platforms are evolving into broader financial ecosystems where payments, treasury management, and asset handling are integrated within a single interface. Future competition will center on integration quality and network coverage.
