Mercuryo has added Apple Pay support to Bitget Wallet, giving users a new in-app route to buy digital assets. According to the announced details, USDt and USDC can now be purchased through Apple devices, while promotional pricing also applies to major tokens such as ETH and SOL. For a limited period, purchases made in US dollars and euros carry no transaction fees, and other fiat currencies receive a 50% fee discount.
Fee incentives run from March 10 to April 30
The offer is scheduled for March 10 through April 30. During that window, users paying in US dollars or euros get fee waivers, while purchases made with other fiat currencies qualify for discounted fees. Mercuryo also said users worldwide, excluding those in the US and the UK, can access zero commission on purchases up to €200.
Bitget Wallet presents itself as a Web3 platform that combines trading, staking, payments, and dApp access in one product. The wallet supports more than 130 blockchains and includes token swaps, live market data, a built-in dApp browser, and payment options through QR codes, cards, and an in-app store. Apple Pay now becomes another payment layer inside that setup.
Nigeria rollout includes direct Bitcoin purchases
In Nigeria, users can link bank cards to Apple Pay and complete identity verification inside the Bitget Wallet app to buy Bitcoin directly. The available payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and third-party providers such as Alchemy Pay, Banxa, Mercuryo, and Simplex. The article says transaction fees in these purchases generally fall between 2.5% and 3.5%.
Apple Pay validates payments through facial recognition, fingerprint authentication, and passcodes. Bitget Wallet card holders can also add their wallet cards to Apple Pay and use crypto-backed spending for everyday purchases. At the same time, the company notes that some bank cards may face international restrictions, which can limit availability in practice.
Partnership also ties into Bitget’s on-chain expansion
Mercuryo said all crypto purchase transactions are completed within the app, framing the integration as a way to bring cryptocurrencies closer to daily financial use. The report also notes that Bitget has partnered with Morph Chain, becoming the first exchange to expand its on-chain ecosystem through that collaboration. Under the arrangement, Bitget users will be able to trade digital assets within the Morph ecosystem.
The disclosed positioning centers on card storage, contactless payments, and easier access to on-chain assets from a familiar payment interface. Mercuryo said it will continue focusing on Web3 payment products designed to connect conventional finance with digital assets.
