Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has outlined a long-term monetization idea for Muse, the company’s personal agent product. His plan, as described, is to let the vast majority of users access Muse for free and later take a small cut from transactions completed by the agent on a user’s behalf.
Muse currently offers roughly 100 million free tokens per week and assigns each user a dedicated virtual machine. Zuckerberg said he expects many people to use Muse in the future to run small businesses, make money, or cut costs.
The product has already integrated Stripe Link, allowing Muse to pay directly for users. More than 1 million merchants that support Link can be checked out directly, while purchases on other websites can be completed through a one-time virtual card. Still, Meta’s idea of taking a fee from agent-driven transactions remains only a long-term concept at this stage and has not been formally launched.
