Metaplanet said it used its own funds on Nov. 2 to fully redeem its 20th series of ordinary bonds issued to EVO FUND ahead of schedule. The principal amount was ¥8 billion, or about $50.64 million. The bond carried no interest and had originally been set to mature on April 23, 2027. After completing the early redemption, the Japanese Bitcoin treasury company said it would reallocate roughly ¥8 billion from the proceeds of its 27th series of stock acquisition rights, funds that had previously been earmarked for bond repayment, back to Bitcoin purchases. Following the change, the amount from that fundraising round designated for Bitcoin buying increased from about ¥25.422 billion, or roughly $161 million, to about ¥33.422 billion, or roughly $212 million. Another ¥3.714 billion, or about $23.51 million, remains allocated to its Bitcoin income business.

Another ¥3.714 billion, or about $23.51 million, is allocated to the company’s Bitcoin income business.
