Crypto exchange MEXC has announced a comprehensive upgrade to its security and transparency framework. The new system features AI-driven risk control and monthly independent Proof-of-Reserves (PoR) audits by blockchain security firm Hacken. The latest reserve data reveals BTC coverage at 141%, USDT at 126%, USDC at 127%, and ETH at 107% — all exceeding total user deposits.
Three-Layer Protection: AI Monitoring, KYC/AML, and Account Freeze
According to MEXC's November 2025 Risk Control Report, the platform now operates a multi-tier security architecture. An AI model scans for abnormal trading, phishing, and market manipulation in real time. Combined with KYC+AML checks, suspicious accounts are automatically frozen, while legitimate users can file a review. MEXC's support team works 24/7, with an average complaint resolution time 68% faster than industry standard and a false positive rate below 0.1%. The exchange also pushes out anti-fraud alerts and educational content regularly.
Hacken Monthly Audits: On-Chain Merkle Tree Verification
In November 2025, MEXC appointed Hacken as its independent external auditor. Hacken has previously worked with the European Commission, MetaMask, the Ethereum Foundation, and Binance. It uses AI-enhanced on-chain checks for PoR reviews, publishing results monthly without MEXC's editorial control. The system relies on Merkle Tree structures, allowing users to cryptographically verify that their assets are included in the reserves. This approach turns transparency from a slogan into verifiable data.
Reserve Data Goes Public: BTC 141% Leads, No Shortfall
The latest December 2025 report shows: BTC 141%, USDT 126%, USDC 127%, ETH 107%. MEXC claims these figures confirm zero misappropriation, zero gaps, zero risk. All audit results are updated on a public PoR page for user inspection.
Q3 Ecosystem Highlights: 680 New Tokens, 48 Fraud Blocks
MEXC's Q3 2025 ecosystem report notes the listing of 680 new tokens and a futures insurance fund of $559 million. On the security front, it blocked 48 fraud cases and restricted about 19,000 suspicious accounts. This earned MEXC a citation at the Seoul International Conference on Fraud (ICFC). The exchange also launched AI-powered trading tools and a multi-asset margin pool, supporting ecosystems like Ethena, Base, and BSC, alongside global CSR and blockchain education programs.
Founded in 2018, MEXC now serves over 40 million users across 170 countries. Its mission: "the simplest and safest path to crypto." The upgrade is seen as a shift from reactive compliance to proactive trust-building.
