MEXC has published its April 2026 Proof of Reserves, reporting that its BTC reserve ratio reached 295%, up from 270% in March. According to the figures released by the exchange, MEXC holds 12,695.71 BTC against 4,305.73 BTC in user assets. The company said all major assets remain above the industry’s 1:1 benchmark for full coverage of customer holdings.

April snapshot details BTC, ETH and stablecoin reserves

The report lists reserve ratios of 116% for ETH, 111% for USDT, and 116% for USDC. MEXC said its total reserves stand at 69,430.24 ETH, 1.88 billion USDT, and 90.5 million USDC, alongside its BTC holdings. Among the assets disclosed, BTC showed the clearest month-over-month change, with the reserve ratio moving higher in April.

Merkle Tree structure and Hacken audit support verification

MEXC said its Proof of Reserves system is built on Merkle Tree technology, which allows users to verify their balances independently while keeping account privacy intact. The exchange also stated that each monthly snapshot is reviewed through an independent audit by blockchain security firm Hacken, giving the reserve report third-party verification.

Exchange also points to separate protection funds

Alongside the reserve update, MEXC highlighted a $100 million Guardian Fund, which it said is designed to provide full and instant coverage in the event of platform issues. The company also referenced a Futures Insurance Fund intended to protect users during extreme market conditions. In the same release, MEXC said it is entering its eighth year and tying its brand upgrade to two stated pillars: “0 Fees” and “Infinite Opportunities.”

MEXC outlines scale of platform operations

In the company description included with the release, MEXC said it serves more than 40 million users across 170+ markets and offers access to over 3,000 digital assets. It also said users can trade cryptocurrencies on the platform alongside tokenized assets such as stocks, ETFs, commodities, and precious metals.
