MEXC has released its first women-in-the-workforce data, saying women now account for 43% of its total staff, above the global technology industry average of 28%. The disclosure, published after International Women’s Day, covers workforce representation, leadership, hiring growth, technical roles, and retention. At the management level, women hold 40% of positions, including 15 senior leadership roles.

Representation and decision-making roles remain closely aligned

The exchange framed the relatively small gap between overall representation and management participation as a key part of the report. Based on the figures it published, women hold a significant share of jobs across the company and maintain a comparable presence in decision-making positions, rather than being concentrated only in the broader employee base.

Female hiring rose 49% year on year over three years

MEXC said female hiring grew 49% year on year across a three-year period, covering 411 employees in APAC, the EU, MENA, and LATAM. The company said the increase was not limited to one market or one business function. It described the trend as broad-based and global.

Post-maternity return rate reached 85%

Retention data was another focus. According to MEXC, the post-maternity return-to-work rate stands at 85%. The company also cited research showing that only 13% of mothers consider a full-time return after maternity leave viable. In its view, that gap points to workplace structure and career continuity, not only to written policy.

195 women hold core engineering and product roles

Within technical teams, MEXC said 195 women are in core engineering and product roles. The exchange linked the issue to a wider shortage of STEM and blockchain education pathways and said it plans to address it through dedicated research and financial literacy programs.

MEXC added that it is working on formal confirmation of wage equality and broader visibility for women at global industry forums. The company said the data released now should be treated as a baseline for annual disclosure. Founded in 2018, MEXC says it serves more than 40 million users across 170+ countries.
