ChainCatcher reported that Strategy founder Michael Saylor posted on social media to address comments related to his Bitcoin holdings. He stated: “I have not sold a single satoshi of my Bitcoin holdings, and Strategy is still carrying out its coin accumulation strategy.” The statement covered both his personal holdings and the company’s current approach, stressing that his own Bitcoin position had not been sold.

The report also noted that a satoshi is the smallest unit of Bitcoin. One BTC is equal to 100 million satoshis. In that context, Saylor’s phrase that he had not sold “a single satoshi” refers to the smallest measurable unit of Bitcoin, rather than only to whole BTC amounts.

Saylor further said that his earlier message was to “never sell your own Bitcoin,” and that he had never said a company could not sell. Under that explanation, he separated his personal principle on holding Bitcoin from a company’s authority over asset decisions. At the same time, Strategy is still described as continuing its Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
