Bitcoin Treasuries said in a post on X that Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor believes a supply shock is taking shape in Bitcoin. According to the post, Saylor said Bitcoin treasury companies are purchasing BTC at a pace equal to 1.6 times the amount produced by miners.
He argued that as the treasury sector expands, demand for BTC rises and supports higher prices. Saylor also said that stronger Bitcoin prices improve the credit and equity position of related companies, giving them more room to raise capital and buy additional BTC.
Saylor added that these companies should not be viewed as competitors. In his view, they are working within a positive feedback loop in which growing demand, improved financing conditions, and continued Bitcoin accumulation reinforce one another.
