According to Techub News, German startup Micro AGI has launched an app called Shift that offers free apartment cleaning services to residents in New York City. The service is not limited to cleaning: operators wear head-mounted cameras during apartment visits and collect first-person video data while performing cleaning tasks. After anonymization, the footage is used to train home robots and physical AI models.

The approach turns ordinary apartment cleaning into a source of training material for physical AI systems. First-person video captures how people move through indoor spaces and carry out tasks such as cleaning, organizing and interacting with household environments. Through the Shift app, Micro AGI connects New York residents, cleaning operators and the collection of anonymized training data in a single service flow.

Micro AGI has built an operator network spanning more than 10,000 people across 15 countries. The company is headquartered in Munich, Germany, and also operates in locations including Istanbul, Zurich and London. Citing CryptoBriefing, Techub News reported that Micro AGI generated more than $5 million in revenue in the first quarter of 2026 and provides researchers with up to $2 million in computing resources.
