MiniMax posted a short video on the afternoon of Oct. 19 with the caption 「Welcome back, Space Bunny」, a move that Yicai said was widely seen as the company acknowledging the anonymous model Space Bunny. The model went online in late September and climbed to No. 1 in daily token calls on both OpenRouter and OpenCode within three days. It ranked in the top three alongside DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and GLM 5.3 Flash. According to the report, Space Bunny is an early version of MiniMax M3.1 Flash, which is set for an official release soon. The development points to MiniMax moving closer to a formal launch after the model had already gained traction under an anonymous identity.
