Mining Grid has introduced a major update called COREs Evolution as Mining COREs completes its first year inside the Mining Race ecosystem. The company said Mining COREs, first launched globally in April 2025, has now recorded one full year of activity, with more than 450,000 COREs participating to date.
According to the announcement, the new model was shaped by community feedback and is meant to make participation easier to enter, simpler to track, and more dynamic over time. Mining COREs are digital units on the platform, with each unit representing 1 TH/s of mining power. Users activate them inside the Mining Race app to join recurring races and access platform-based rewards, while mining BTC without having to manage hardware or technical setup on their own.
Sprint and Block race formats remain central
The upgraded structure continues to center on two race types. Sprint Races are designed for newly enrolled COREs and run on a weekly schedule, with one winning Core unlocking the relevant Bitcoin block hash each week. Block Races run much more frequently, are tied to newly mined Bitcoin blocks, and are open to all active COREs. Outside the race element, each active Core also carries mining power that can generate mining rewards during its active period.
Mining Grid said it has also added auto-buy functions, bundle purchase options, and integrated bonus mechanics. Parts of the race and reward framework were revised as well, with the company describing the goal as a smoother and more consistent user experience over time.
Subscription tiers, wallet integration and mining pool access
The company used the anniversary update to outline how Mining COREs fits into the broader Mining Race product structure. Under that setup, users begin by purchasing a tiered subscription called Spot. Higher tiers unlock greater capacity for products such as Mining Cards and Mining Devices. Mining Grid said this structure is intended to give users an easy entry point first, then let them explore a wider set of options as they become more familiar with the platform.
One of the platform’s featured components is an integrated non-custodial wallet. Mining Race also connects with mining pools in the background, allowing users to access mining-related products without handling the operating complexity themselves. CEO and founder Rami Alsridi said COREs Evolution came from closely observing how users engaged with Mining Race and where they wanted improvements, with the update aimed at creating a more complete model for long-term participation.
Mining Grid said the Mining Race app has recorded more than 125,000 downloads across 150+ countries. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play, and the latest update expands the role of Mining COREs within a wider platform that also includes Mining Cards, Mining Devices, and the built-in non-custodial wallet.
