Mintos has added cryptocurrency exchange traded products to its investment platform, giving European investors access to digital asset exposure through regulated securities with a minimum investment of €5. The products track the prices of underlying cryptocurrencies and trade on exchanges in a structure similar to ETFs. Investors can gain exposure without directly holding tokens or managing digital wallets and private keys.

Crypto ETPs broaden the asset mix on Mintos

The launch expands the list of instruments available on Mintos’ multi-asset platform. Users can now manage crypto exposure alongside loans, bonds, real estate investments, and ETFs within one account. Mintos said the new offering is aimed at investors who want access to crypto markets through traditional brokerage infrastructure rather than direct ownership of digital assets.

The crypto ETPs available on the platform are issued by asset managers including BlackRock iShares and VanEck. Mintos Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder Martins Sulte said crypto continues to attract investor interest, while complexity and regulatory concerns still act as barriers. He said regulated ETPs from established providers allow investors to access the asset class on the same platform they already use for other investments.

Upvest powers the brokerage and trading layer

The new crypto products are supported by Mintos’ partnership with Upvest, an investment infrastructure technology provider. Upvest supplies the brokerage infrastructure and application programming interfaces that let Mintos integrate additional financial instruments into its platform. The two companies had already worked together on Mintos’ expansion into ETFs.

Upvest Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder Martin Kassing said retail investors are looking to diversify across a wider range of asset classes within platforms they already trust. For investment platforms, programmable brokerage and trading systems make it possible to add new products while keeping a unified investing environment.

European demand for regulated crypto exposure is rising

Survey data cited by Mintos shows that about 22% of European investors hold cryptocurrency. European Central Bank data, also referenced by the company, shows crypto ownership in the eurozone more than doubled between 2022 and 2024. In traditional markets, exchange traded products have become a common vehicle for investors seeking digital asset exposure.

According to industry data referenced by Mintos, global crypto ETPs recorded more than $47 billion in net inflows in 2025. European investors accounted for part of that total. Mintos also said interest is visible among its own users, with more than one quarter of surveyed investors saying they are interested in cryptocurrency investment options.
