MoneyGram has expanded MoneyGram Ramps, its cash and cryptocurrency exchange service, to Solana, according to CoinDesk. The integration allows wallets, exchanges and developers inside the Solana ecosystem to connect to MoneyGram's global cash network and offer conversions between cash and digital assets. MoneyGram Ramps supports two-way conversion: cash can be moved into digital assets, and digital assets can be moved back into cash. Cash deposits are available in more than 25 countries, while cash withdrawals are supported in more than 170 countries and regions worldwide. MoneyGram had already entered the stablecoin payment space through a USDC-based cash deposit and withdrawal service built with Stellar. It also issued MGUSD, a USD-backed stablecoin, as part of that push. The company has kept expanding its stablecoin payment and remittance operations. The Solana rollout is the latest addition to that lineup and gives Solana-based wallets and exchanges another route to cash services. The report was carried by CoinDesk.
