Morgan Stanley has disclosed holdings in two XRP-focused exchange-traded funds in its latest Form 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, marking the investment bank's entry into Ripple-linked regulated investment products.
According to the filing for the first quarter of 2026, the bank owned 1,700 shares of the Volatility Shares XRP ETF and 100 shares of the Grayscale XRP ETF (GXRP). While the positions are modest relative to the firm's overall portfolio and its larger Bitcoin and Ethereum holdings, the disclosure places Morgan Stanley among a growing list of institutions gaining XRP exposure through compliant vehicles.
Solana ETF and E*Trade Expansion Underway
Earlier this month, Morgan Stanley submitted an updated registration statement for a spot Solana exchange-traded fund under the ticker MSOL. The proposed trust would directly hold SOL and stake a portion of its assets through third-party providers, with staking rewards incorporated into overall returns. The preliminary prospectus indicates that staking providers will be selected based on reliability, performance, uptime, and slashing history.
The bank has also been working to launch Bitcoin and cryptocurrency trading services through its E*Trade platform. Morgan Stanley previously identified Ripple's payment infrastructure as a faster alternative to the traditional SWIFT network for cross-border transfers. The latest filing confirms that the bank now has indirect XRP exposure through publicly traded ETFs.
Institutional Accumulation Continues
Other major financial institutions have followed suit. Regulatory filings show that Bank of America and UBS also disclosed modest XRP-linked ETF positions in recent months. Fund flow data from SoSoValue reveals that XRP investment products attracted $85.8 million in net inflows over the past three weeks, while Bitcoin and Ethereum funds saw outflows of approximately $3.56 billion and $693 million, respectively, during the same period.
Spot XRP ETFs recorded $1.77 million in net inflows on Thursday, with Bitwise's XRP ETF accounting for the entire amount. In the derivatives market, Deribit data shows traders positioning around the $1.60 strike price for XRP options expiring June 26, with some contracts targeting a move toward $3.40 by September.
XRP (XRP) traded near $1.30 at press time, up about 4% over the previous 24 hours. The token moved between $1.28 and $1.33 during that period, while trading volume declined by roughly 13%.
