On-chain data from Arkham shows that bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox moved 10,422.65 bitcoins from its cold wallet today, worth more than $739 million. The vast majority — 10,306.35 BTC — was sent to a previously unused address, while another 116.30 BTC was routed to a known Mt. Gox hot wallet. The transaction did not indicate any intention to sell or launch a new round of creditor repayments.

Because creditor procedures remain incomplete and processing has faced delays, the liquidation trustee has extended the repayment deadline to October 31, 2026. Mt. Gox still holds approximately 35,000 bitcoins, valued at around $2.4 billion, awaiting future distribution. This large-scale on-chain movement, the biggest since the exchange’s collapse, comes as the repayment deadline approaches, renewing market focus on how the remaining assets will be handled.
