Nasdaq Partners with Pyth for Onchain Data Distribution
Nasdaq has entered a partnership with Pyth Network to extend the reach of its flagship TotalView market data product to blockchain applications and other software platforms through Pyth's decentralized data marketplace. This integration allows smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) to directly access Nasdaq's real-time order book, bid/ask spreads, and trade volume data for equities listed on the exchange.

Impact on Onchain Finance
The collaboration represents a major step in bridging traditional financial market infrastructure with decentralized finance (DeFi). Pyth Network currently powers over 500 decentralized applications with high-frequency price feeds. The addition of Nasdaq's TotalView data will enable more accurate and low-latency trading environments for onchain derivatives, synthetic assets, and structured products. It also opens a new revenue stream for Nasdaq by distributing its paid data product through a decentralized network, potentially disrupting traditional data licensing models.
