NEAR Protocol co-founder Illia Polosukhin said at an on-site interview during Digital Asset Summit 2026 in Singapore that users no longer need centralized exchanges for a "large" share of crypto activity as near.com keeps expanding its onchain services.
near.com roadmap still includes banking and tax-related tools
Polosukhin said near.com is "almost ready" and has a "big roadmap" with features still being added. He said that roadmap includes bank withdrawals, transaction records for tax purposes, and selective disclosure for confidential transactions.
He also referred to his own experience with a centralized exchange, saying that one of his accounts was deleted even though he knew the company’s CEO.
One interface for spot, tokenized stocks, yield products and perpetuals
According to Polosukhin, near.com combines cross-chain spot trading, tokenized stocks, yield products, and perpetual contracts in a single interface.
He added that most of the infrastructure for NEAR Intents has already moved to confidential sharding. That setup keeps trading activity private while allowing users to disclose individual transactions when needed.
Fiat features and the long-term asset conversion goal
Polosukhin said more fiat-related functions are on the way for near.com. He also mentioned NEAR’s partnership with Monerium, which allows users to convert between euros held in bank accounts and EURe through IBAN.
He said the end goal for NEAR Intents is to handle "any asset to any asset," giving examples such as U.S. dollars to euros and Singapore dollars to Hong Kong dollars.
Ondo Finance integration adds tokenized equity access
On tokenized stocks, Polosukhin said near.com completed an integration with Ondo Finance in September. Users can convert euros into tokenized NVIDIA stock, and NEAR plans to add equities from more global markets.
