Odaily Planet Daily reported, citing Coindesk, that Neura Robotics has announced the completion of a $1.4 billion financing round. The round was led by Tether Investments, with Nvidia, Qualcomm, Amazon and others also taking part. Neura Robotics focuses on developing AI-powered general-purpose humanoid robots.
According to the company’s stated plan, Neura Robotics aims to produce 5 million AI-powered humanoid robots by 2030. The announced roadmap connects large-scale humanoid robot production with digital payment functionality, which is one of the central elements disclosed alongside the financing.
Neura Robotics also plans to equip the humanoid robots with digital wallets related to Tether. These wallets are intended to allow the robots to autonomously receive payment for work and conduct electronic payments. Following the financing announcement, Tether Investments, Nvidia, Qualcomm and Amazon are all listed among the named participants connected to the project’s latest development.
