Nexo has enhanced its partnership with the DP World Tour by launching a pioneering new prize for golfers who set and hold a course record at the conclusion of a tournament. The digital assets wealth platform announced the Course Record Presented by Nexo, a rolling incentive that combines performance-driven rewards with cryptocurrency payouts.
Prize Structure and Rules
The promotion kicks off with the inaugural Nexo Championship, scheduled for August 7–10, 2025 at the newly opened Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen, Scotland. The first player to set the course record that stands until the end of the tournament will receive a base prize of $10,000. Additionally, Nexo will award 50,000 NEXO Tokens (worth approximately $50,000 at current rates) for a record-breaking performance at the event.
If no course record is set during the Nexo Championship, the prize rolls over to the next eligible DP World Tour event, increasing by $10,000 each time it remains unclaimed. Once a player successfully sets and holds a record, the prize resets. According to Nexo, 10 course records were set across the DP World Tour in 2024, and 6 have already been achieved in 2025.

Qualification and Season Timeline
The prize fund will run through the conclusion of the DP World Tour season, ending with the DP World Tour Championship, after which it will reset for the following year. To qualify, tournaments must be played on a single course, complete at least 36 holes in case of weather delays, and rounds using preferred lies are explicitly excluded.
The Nexo Championship follows a grand opening gala held on July 29, hosted by the Trump family and attended by Nexo’s founders. As reported by Bitcoin.com News, the event is expected to boost Scotland’s golf tourism, which contributes more than $400 million annually to the economy.
This initiative builds on Nexo’s expanding relationship with the DP World Tour. Last month, Nexo became an official marketing partner and the official digital wealth platform of the tour under a multi-year agreement extending through 2027.
