Nexo formally returned to the U.S. market on February 16, 2026, rolling out digital asset services through regulated partners. The relaunch includes yield products, exchange functions, and crypto-backed credit lines. Its trading infrastructure is supplied by Bakkt, which Nexo said supports compliance requirements and risk oversight. The move comes after the company left the U.S. in late 2022 under regulatory pressure.
Yield, exchange, and credit products go live in the U.S.
Nexo said its U.S. offering includes a full set of digital asset services. Clients can access flexible and fixed-term yield programs designed through regulated investment structures. The company also launched an integrated exchange aimed at improving crypto buying and selling for users in the market.
On the lending side, Nexo introduced crypto-backed credit lines that let clients access liquidity without selling their holdings. The service supports multiple collateral types. The platform also added a loyalty program and fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat transfer options through ACH and wire transfers.
Bakkt partnership anchors compliance structure
A central part of the relaunch is Nexo’s use of Bakkt for trading infrastructure. Bakkt is a publicly listed platform built around institutional-grade risk management and compliance systems. Nexo presented the partnership as a way to align its U.S. business with stricter operating standards rather than simply expanding product access.
According to the company, the reentry is aimed at clients that place weight on governance, risk controls, and regulatory compliance. That positioning sits at the center of how Nexo is framing its new U.S. setup.
Return follows 2022 exit and business reset
Nexo’s renewed U.S. presence follows its exit in late 2022. At that time, the firm cited enforcement actions in California and New York and halted operations for its Earn Interest Product. The current relaunch shows the company has come back with a more structured framework after that period of recalibration.
Before returning, Nexo had processed $371 billion in global transactions and managed $11 billion in assets. Its broader expansion has included the acquisition of Buenbit in Latin America. The company has also taken on several brand partnerships, including becoming the Title Partner of the ATP 500 Nexo Dallas Open and a digital asset partner of the Audi Revolut F1 Team, the DP World Tour, and the Australian Open.
