Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz said Bitcoin could fall to $45,000 if the $59,000-$60,000 support zone fails, citing Strategy-related concerns, tighter macro conditions, and pressure from a strong U.S. dollar.

Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz said $59,000 to $60,000 is the most important support zone for Bitcoin right now, warning that a break below that range could send the asset down to $45,000. Speaking on the “All Things Markets” show with Anthony Scaramucci, he said Bitcoin is being pulled lower by a mix of company-specific stress and macro pressure rather than a single headline.

Strategy worries are feeding a broader confidence problem

Novogratz said negative sentiment around Strategy has become a major factor in how the market is pricing risk, and that damage has spread beyond one company. In his view, the loss of confidence tied to Strategy has turned into a wider trust issue across the market, adding pressure to Bitcoin itself.

Scaramucci said market fragility became more visible after Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, disclosed $14 billion in unrealized losses. He argued that losses on that scale tend to draw traders looking to press aggressive short positions. Novogratz added that fatigue has settled over the digital asset market, with investors growing more skeptical of market structure while capital rotates out of crypto and into other sectors, draining liquidity from the space.

Fed messaging and dollar strength are also weighing on Bitcoin

Novogratz said the backdrop goes well beyond corporate balance sheets. He pointed to hawkish messaging from the U.S. Federal Reserve and the market’s focus on a stronger dollar as major forces shaping Bitcoin’s path. A strong dollar, he said, is not supportive for risk assets and acts as a headwind for Bitcoin.

That combination has made the market harder to read. Novogratz said this period is unusually difficult to forecast because pressure is coming from both company balance sheets and the macro environment at the same time.

$55,000 and $62,000 are the next short-term levels to watch

Novogratz stopped short of calling a clear direction from here. When Scaramucci asked whether Bitcoin could hit $45,000 before rebounding to $85,000, he described the odds as “50-50.” His framework was simple: if Bitcoin slips toward $55,000 in the near term, more weakness could follow; if it holds above $62,000, that would suggest support is doing its job.

His message centered on one range. If Bitcoin can hold $59,000 to $60,000, the market may stabilize. If that floor gives way, the downside could widen quickly.
