NVIDIA introduced its DSX POD modular data center reference design at GTC Berlin, outlining a factory-built approach aimed at speeding up AI infrastructure rollouts. The design is built around the NVIDIA Vera Rubin system and is being assembled with partners including Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Schneider Electric. According to NVIDIA, computing hardware, networking gear, cabling, power systems, and liquid-cooling equipment are pre-installed and tested inside containerized units before shipment. Once delivered on site, the units only need to be connected to prepared power, cooling, and network infrastructure. NVIDIA said this can cut deployment time for a data center from six months to as little as 14 days, allowing operators to run AI models and begin generating revenue sooner. The company also said the broader DSX platform can reduce cooling water use by up to 100% because its closed-loop cooling system releases heat into the air without evaporation. The first units are scheduled to begin shipping globally in early 2027, according to The Decoder.
