ChainCatcher reported that OKX founder Star posted a response to the discussion around an OKX employee leaving the company and joining Binance. Star said that over the past years, many outstanding OKX colleagues have also joined other companies in the industry, including Yuki. He said OKX is proud that these colleagues have received recognition and appreciation from peer companies, and sincerely wishes them well in their future development.
Star says OKX has hundreds of former BN employees
In the same post, Star said OKX has hundreds of former employees from BN, including regional CEOs, product leaders, technology leaders, and many strong colleagues across business and functional roles. According to Star, these people have brought valuable experience, perspectives and input to OKX, and have made significant contributions to the company’s development. More importantly, he said, they have become deeply integrated with the OKX team and are now part of OKX’s culture and success.
Star also said OKX has never used this matter as marketing material for hype. In his view, the movement of talent within the industry is normal and is also a sign of industry maturity. He said what truly matters is not where a person comes from, but whether that person can continue creating value. At the same time, Star said that for a very small number of actions that violate the law, business integrity and professional ethics, OKX will take firm measures and protect the company’s legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law.
Yuki’s move to Binance drew comments from crypto KOLs
Star added in his post: “A company that talks about ‘vision’ every day, while its founder still heavily belittles former employees including a former CFO and former Asia head in a book, is often the one with the least vision.” This statement formed one of the central points of his response.
Earlier, RootData data showed that Yuki, formerly a VIP client manager at OKX, had left the company and joined Binance as a major account manager. The personnel change prompted discussion among several crypto KOLs, including KuaiDong. Star’s post focused on talent mobility in the crypto industry, the integration of former BN employees within OKX, and the company’s stated position on compliance, business integrity and professional ethics.
