Techub News reported that Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has launched Omanhash, a national Bitcoin mining pool. Under the arrangement, licensed miners operating inside Oman are required to connect to the official pool for Bitcoin mining. The first phase is expected to integrate about 10 EH/s of hashrate, according to the report, which cites crypto.news.

The technical platform for Omanhash is provided by Enegix Global, while Frontier Technologies is responsible for local operations. The structure places licensed domestic mining activity under an official pool rather than leaving it fragmented across separate arrangements, giving the project a defined operating and regulatory setup.

The move reflects Oman’s choice to regulate Bitcoin mining rather than prohibit it. Through a national mining pool and a formal operating system, Oman aims to standardize mining activity and increase regulatory transparency over domestic hashrate allocation and energy use. The 10 EH/s figure is the central scale target for Omanhash’s first phase.
